Restricted-fund undertaking. Funds raised for an initiative marked Proposed are held in a restricted reserve and are not deployed until launch. If a Proposed initiative does not proceed within 12 months of your gift, we will contact you to seek consent to redirect your gift to another initiative or refund it. See Donation Terms § 07.

Cash gifts. Cash donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible. Receipts are issued by Islamic Aid Worldwide Project Ltd ABN 68 686 194 034 (trading as Hearts of Hope Foundation), endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient under Item 1, s30-15 ITAA 1997.

Property gifts. Trading card and other property donations are not automatically tax-deductible. Tax deductibility for property gifts is governed by Subdivision 30-A ITAA 1997 and generally requires the property to be (a) valued at more than $5,000 with two qualified valuations, (b) purchased by the donor within 12 months of donation, (c) trading stock, or (d) accepted under the Cultural Gifts Program. Speak to your tax adviser.

Auctions & events. If you receive goods or services in return for your contribution (e.g. an auction lot or event entry), only the amount above the market value of those goods is the deductible gift portion.

Fundraising authorities. Authorised under each Australian state and territory's charitable fundraising laws see Donation Terms § 10 for the full list of regulators and registration numbers.

How we use your details. We collect your name, email, and (optionally) phone number to process your donation, issue your tax-deductible receipt under TR 2005/13, and where you are an existing supporter send you occasional impact updates about the initiatives you have funded. We do not sell or rent your data. You can unsubscribe from non-transactional email at any time using the link in any update, or by emailing admin@heartsofhope.org.au. By submitting this form you agree to our Privacy Policy, which sets out your access, correction, and complaint rights.
